Tesla to open service centre, warehouse and retail outlet in Gurugram


Tesla will open a service centre, warehouse, and retail outlet in Orchid Business Park on Sohna Road, Gurugram. The company has leased a 50,914 square feet space for this purpose.The lease agreement is for nine years, with an annual rent escalation of 4.75%. Tesla will pay a monthly rent of ₹40.17 lakh, which works out to ₹120 per square foot — about 6% higher than the average market rate in the area.
This development is part of Tesla’s expansion in India. After launching its first showroom in Mumbai on July 15 at Maker Maxity mall in Bandra Kurla Complex, Tesla is set to open its second retail outlet in Delhi on August 11.
The new Experience Centre will be located at Worldmark 3 in Aerocity and is expected to draw a monthly rent of around ₹25 lakh. The facility is currently nearing completion.Tesla is currently selling the Model Y in India. The SUV is priced from ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in two versions — a standard rear-wheel drive with a 60 kWh battery offering 500 km of WLTP-certified range, and a long-range variant with a 75 kWh battery delivering up to 622 km.

Deliveries are prioritised for customers in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Gurugram, with vehicles transported to buyers’ homes via flat-bed trucks. Tesla has also updated its website to allow vehicle registration across all Indian States and Union Territories. The Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature is listed as an optional extra at ₹6 lakh, though it will be introduced in India at a later date.
