MG Cyberster electric sportscar launched in India at ₹74.99 lakh with scissor-style doors

MG Cyberster
Powered by a 77 kWh battery, the Cyberster gets dual motors—one on each axle—delivering 503 bhp and 725 Nm. It features all-wheel drive and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, with a certified range of 580 km (MIDC). MG claims a 50:50 weight distribution, and the sportscar rides on a double wishbone suspension with Brembo 4-piston front calipers, offering a stopping distance of 33 metres from 100 km/h.
In terms of design, the Cyberster is a 2-seater convertible with a soft-top folding roof, scissor doors, and a 0.269 drag coefficient. Exterior features include LED headlamps with DRLs, arrow-shaped LED tail-lamps with a full-width LED strip, and 20-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tyres. Four dual-tone colour options are available:
- Nuclear Yellow / Black Roof
- Flare Red / Black Roof
- Andes Grey / Red Roof
- Modern Beige / Red Roof
Inside, the car has a driver-focused cabin featuring three curved digital displays (a 10.25-inch digital driver screen and two 7-inch auxiliary screens) plus an additional 7-inch vertical touchscreen beside the drive selector. Other highlights include dual-zone climate control with PM2.5 filtration, ventilated and powered seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

For safety and driver assistance, the Cyberster is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, driver monitoring system, ESC, electronic differential lock, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and four airbags.
As the only electric convertible on sale in India, the Cyberster has no direct rivals. While alternatives like the BMW Z4 or Mercedes CLE Cabriolet exist, they are petrol-powered and less powerful. Similarly priced EVs like the BMW i4, Kia EV6, and Hyundai Ioniq 5 lack the roadster configuration.
Each Cyberster purchase includes a 3.3 kW portable charger, a 7.4 kW wall box charger, and free standard installation. While the car is currently imported as a CBU, MG has not confirmed any plans for local assembly.
