Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma claimed two wickets as her side, Sunrisers Leeds, coasted to a comfortable win in a virtual knockout clash against Manchester Super Giants in the Hundred in Manchester on Tuesday.
The win secured Sunrisers a spot in the Eliminator against Southern Brave, with the winner of that clash set to face Trent Rockets in the final on Sunday.
Deepti, who didn’t get to bat in Sunrisers’ first-innings outing, dismissed Super Giants’ middle-order batters Mady Villiers and Maitlan Brown.
Manchester Super Giants’ Indian representative Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh produced middling returns with the bat, scoring a 17-ball 28 and 14-ball 13, respectively, as their side collapsed to a 41-run defeat.
Sunrisers’ dominant win was a set up by a stunning all-round performance from Annabel Sutherland, with the Australian first smashing an unbeaten 62 (36), before returning to claim two wickets and pocket two catches.
