She described this as a light-hearted observation, without naming any actor or specific film. Despite her neutral and anecdotal intention, some media outlets picked up the statement in isolation, publishing headlines that suggested she was criticising the Kannada film industry as a whole.

In response, Daisy posted a clarification on her Instagram stories. “And yet again a small conversation has been blown out of proportion… I have worked in Kannada Industry before and Sandalwood has been very kind to me,” she wrote, emphasizing her gratitude toward the industry. She urged audiences to view her full interview before jumping to conclusions. “Randomly watching few songs on a TV channel then and me talking about it doesn’t give you the right to generalise it for the entire Industry,” Daisy added, highlighting the importance of context. Addressing media outlets directly, Daisy expressed frustration at the sensationalism surrounding her words. “Please stop making false narratives and making headlines just to gain views on your page. Please keep it Organic most importantly keep it REAL,” she stated.

Through her clarification, Daisy has reiterated her respect and appreciation for the Kannada film industry and the colleagues she has worked with.
