Revolut signs as title partner of Audi F1 Team ahead of 2026 Formula 1 debut

Revolut, a British financial technology company headquartered in London, is expanding globally. The company was valued at $45 billion in 2023 through a secondary share sale. As of now, Revolut has over 60 million customers and aims to reach 100 million by 2027. It gained a UK banking license in 2024 after a three-year application process and currently operates without physical branches.
As part of the deal, Revolut Business will be used in the Audi F1 Team’s financial operations. The partnership will also support merchandise payments and provide Revolut users with exclusive race-weekend offers.Nik Storonsky, CEO of Revolut, said the company is planning to grow its user base through this collaboration and added that “we’re accelerating towards 100 million customers, and we’ll be bringing them into Formula 1 with unforgettable experiences at a pivotal time for the sport.”
Jonathan Wheatley, Team Principal of the future Audi F1 Team, said the partnership was put together in under four months. He described the collaboration as a way for the team to increase its appeal and engage fans more effectively:“We need a partner that’s going to help us do that. We need to expand into this global space that Formula One is in at the moment, and we need to become the most attractive team in Formula One,” Wheatley said.
He added that the deal reflects Audi’s ability to attract strong partners and called it “a good news story for Formula One.”
Revolut’s Chief Marketing Officer, Antoine Le Nel, said the partnership will help the company grow its audience and connect fans to the sport through Revolut’s platform. He didn’t disclose financial details but said Revolut is committed for the long term.
Gernot Döllner, CEO of AUDI AG and Chairman of the Board of Sauber Motorsport AG, said Audi sees Formula 1 as a valuable platform. He added that “in Revolut, we have found a partner that shares our ambitions and attitude.”
Formula 1 had around 820 million fans and 1.6 billion TV viewers in 2024. The Audi-Revolut partnership aims to enhance the way fans engage with the team, both in-person at events and online.
Sauber, which will become the Audi works team in 2026, is currently sixth in the Constructors’ Championship. German driver Nico Hülkenberg recently finished third at the British Grand Prix, earning his first career podium and adding momentum to the team’s progress.
