The makers have unveiled the first look of Mahakali, introducing Bhoomi Shetty as the titular lead.

The film, which has already completed more than 50% of its shoot, is being filmed on an elaborate set specially constructed in Hyderabad. In a bold move, the makers have chosen to back a newcomer in a project of this scale, defying industry norms that often favor star-led films. Reports suggest that several leading actresses had expressed interest in the role, but the filmmakers were committed to casting a dark-skinned debutant who could authentically represent the spirit of the story.
