Teja Sajja defends the use of Indian ‘Itihasa’ in Mirai: “Why question our dharma when love stories are repeated?”Responding to critics, Sajja said, “Why does nobody question when the same love story is made again and again, but the moment we try to tell a story inspired by our ‘dharma’, people start raising doubts? We should feel proud—this is our land, these are our morals. In the 3 minutes 10 seconds of the trailer, only 10 seconds show a glimpse of Lord Rama, and for that alone, questions of religion are being raised. This film is not just about that—it’s a mix of fantasy, action, adventure, superhero storytelling, and deep emotions. We’re bringing all of this together through the lens of our Indian itihasa, in a fresh and cool way, so that the younger generation can connect with it and embrace it.”

Mirai promises a cinematic spectacle, blending explosive action sequences, fantasy elements, and superhero storytelling. The film features a star-studded ensemble including Manoj Manchu, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Shriya Saran, and Ritika Nayak, each contributing to the high-octane drama. Gowra Hari’s electrifying music and cutting-edge visuals further elevate the film, promising a technical experience that pushes the boundaries of Indian cinema.

Directed by Karthik Ghattamneni and backed by Dharma Productions for strong distribution in North India, Mirai aims to cater to audiences across regions while maintaining a Pan-India appeal. Teja Sajja’s charismatic screen presence is expected to be a major draw, bringing energy and emotion to the film’s layered narrative.

Set to hit theatres worldwide on September 12, 2025, Mirai is positioned as a landmark project that redefines scale, ambition, and storytelling in Indian cinema. By intertwining action, fantasy, and ‘itihasa’ (history), the film hopes to resonate with audiences looking for both entertainment and cultural pride.
