Tesla needs a sub-₹25 lakh car to win over India

The starting price for Tesla cars in India is close to the top end of what BYD is offering in the world’s third-largest car market. If Elon Musk wants to compete with luxury carmakers like Mercedes and Audi, he’d playing in a much smaller pool of less than 7,000 cars in total.
