The Social Welfare Department of the government of Karnataka is accepting online applications for the Deeksha Bhoomi Yatra 2025.

This annual pilgrimage to Nagpur in Maharashtra is organised to commemorate Pravartan Din, a significant day marking Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s conversion to Buddhism at Deeksha Bhoomi — a revered site in the Navayana Buddhist tradition and a memorial to the social reformer.

The initiative invites eligible pilgrims and followers of Dr. Ambedkar to participate in the spiritual journey. Interested individuals can submit their applications online through the official portal of the department. The deadline for submission of applications is September 9.
