Bengaluru: Knife-wielding man sexually harasses, robs woman in PG accommodation

A woman was allegedly sexually harassed and robbed by a knife-wielding masked man at her paying guest (PG) accommodation in Bengaluru’s Sadduguntepalya in the early hours of Friday.

The victim was sleeping in her room and her roommate had gone out when the alleged incident took place..

When the victim heard the sound of her room’s door opening, she thought that her roommate had returned. However, a masked man had reportedly entered her room with a knife, who allegedly touched her inappropriately and threatened to stab her if she screamed for help.

The victim reportedly tried resisting the accused’s actions and raised an alarm. Sensing trouble, the accused allegedly robbed ₹2,500 in cash from the victim before fleeing the spot.

The accused had allegedly locked the doors of adjacent rooms of the PG accommodation before entering the victim’s room.

The entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV, and the police are trying to identify the accused and track him down.
