BJP to hold State-wide protests in A.P. against Rahul Gandhi’s remarks

Andhra Pradesh BJP president P.V.N. Madhav strongly criticised Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of ‘befriending lies’ and stooping to indecent levels in his recent remarks.

Speaking with party cadre via teleconference on Sunday (August 31), Mr. Madhav said that Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s comments, particularly those concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother, were disgraceful and unacceptable. “Such remarks are an insult to public decency, and the people of the country will never forgive him,” Madhav asserted.

He called upon BJP workers across the State to organise protests on Monday (September 01) under the leadership of the BJP Mahila Morcha, which will include the burning of Rahul Gandhi’s effigies and filing complaints at local police stations.

Mr. Madhav ridiculed Rahul Gandhi over his allegations of ‘vote theft’, pointing out that even the Election Commission had reprimanded him on the issue. “It is shameful that Mr. Rahul persists with falsehoods in an attempt to turn lies into truth. BJP workers must counter these attempts with determination,” he said. BJP Mahila Morcha State president  Nishidha Raju also addressed the conference, extending full support to the agitation programmes.
