Anurag Kashyap, known for his unconventional storytelling and eye for raw talent, is all set to introduce a new face in his upcoming film Nishaanchi. The movie marks the Hindi film debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, who will be seen in a challenging double role. Aaishvary is already being spoken of as the most exciting debutant of the year, setting high expectations with his very first outing.

“Aaishvary Thackeray gave me four years of his life for Nishaanchi — that’s the commitment I look for,” says Anurag KashyapAnurag spoke about why he chose Aaishvary for the part and emphasized the actor’s unwavering dedication. “Aaishvary gave me four years of his life — that’s the commitment I look for. I work with people who can give me all their time and Aaishvary did exactly that,” the director said.

Nishaanchi is touted to be a gritty drama with Kashyap’s signature style of intense storytelling and layered characters. The film’s biggest highlight remains Aaishvary’s double role, which is expected to test his range as a performer right at the onset of his career. Industry chatter already describes him as a true “man amongst boys”, bringing a rare maturity and presence to the screen.

As per the reports, even before the release of his debut film, Aaishvary Thackeray has already been signed on for another high-profile project. He is set to headline filmmaker Sai Rajesh’s Hindi remake of the Telugu hit Baby.

With Kashyap’s mentorship and back-to-back projects in his kitty, Aaishvary Thackeray is fast emerging as one of the most anticipated debutants in recent years.
