Youth, allegedly kidnapped, returns home

A 21-year-old youth from Koduvally, who was allegedly kidnapped by an unidentified gang five days ago, returned home on Thursday (May 22, 2025). Police sources said he was dropped off at Kondotty by the yet-to-be-identified gang in a hired taxi.

The taxi driver who reportedly operated the service from Mysuru was taken into police custody as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident. Anoos Roshan, the kidnapped youth, was also questioned by the police squad in efforts to identify the suspected gang.

Within a few days of registering the case, the police arrested five persons, including two Kondotty natives. The youth was kidnapped over some financial dealings related to his elder brother, who is currently working abroad, said the police.
