Why are KTR and Harish backing a ‘habitual blackmailer’ like Kaushik Reddy, asks Congress MLC

Addressing a press conference held in Hyderabad on Saturday (June 21, 2025), he claimed that Mr. Reddy was arrested in connection with a threat and extortion attempt involving the local crusher operators in Gundedu village. After being cornered in the extortion attempt, Kaushik Reddy, in a desperate attempt to cover up his misdeeds, donated ₹10 lakhs to a temple, he said.

He also alleged that Mr. Kaushik Reddy had a history of duping job aspirants. He even attempted to flee the country after his name cropped up in the phone tapping investigation. “The MLA, along with others involved in financial crimes, were planning to escape abroad,” the MLC claimed.

Criticising the BRS leadership, Mr. Venkat said the BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao should caution his children about the misdeeds they were involved in. If not, he would land in jail because of his own son and nephew , he said.
