Hot Hatch Arrives: Volkswagen launched the Golf GTI in India, priced at ₹53 lakh (ex-showroom). Imported as a completely built unit (CBU), it’s the most expensive Volkswagen currently sold in India. The first batch of 150 units is sold out, with another 100 units planned based on demand. It competes with the Mini Cooper S in the premium hatchback segment.

Powerful Engine: The Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine delivering 265 hp and 370 Nm. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, it sends power to the front wheels via an electronic locking differential. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.

Sporty Exterior: The Golf GTI features a sporty front bumper with large vents, hexagonal mesh, and Matrix LED headlights connected by a red strip. It rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with red brake callipers. The rear includes wraparound LED taillights, a roof spoiler, dual exhaust tips, and an illuminated VW logo.

Premium Interior: Inside, the Golf GTI offers sports seats with GTI logos and tartan inserts. A 12.9-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster dominate the cabin. Other features include a sunroof, three-zone climate control, heated front seats, a wireless charger, 30-colour ambient lighting, and a flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters.

Advanced Safety: Safety features include seven airbags, a rear-view camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and ISOFIX anchors. The Golf GTI also comes with Level 2 ADAS, offering autonomous emergency braking, lane-change assist, and rear traffic alert, ensuring a secure driving experience.

Colour Options: The Golf GTI is available in four colours: Grenadilla Black, Kings Red, Moonstone Grey, and Oryx White. These options complement its sporty design, highlighted by GTI badges on the grille, doors, and tailgate, enhancing its premium appeal in India.
