The app, which is being selectively piloted and is in an invite-only stage, will target premium consumers looking for conveniences while travelling or in their day-to-day lives. It is currently available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and is developed by Swiggy’s parent Bundl Technologies Private Limited.
According to information available on app stores, Crew would offer concierge services like booking dinner reservations, making travel arrangements, and sourcing premium gifts
This marks Swiggy’s second attempt at pursuing premium consumers after Rare Life. Swiggy experimented with Rare Life last year as a subscription-led platform offering concierge services to book premium events and experiences, according to reports. However, it did not materialise as an app.

The development was first reported by The Entrackr, which cited sources saying that Swiggy had been conducting internal trials over the past 15 days for the Crew app.
Earlier this year, Swiggy launched Pyng, a professional services marketplace. The app, which went live in January and is operational in Bengaluru, offers access to specialists in health and wellness, financial advisors, event planners, travel advisors, and spiritual experts, among others.
In March, the company launched Assure, a B2B app for restaurants to source supplies. The vertical directly competes with Zomato’s Hyperpure.
It had also earlier launched a standalone app for its quick commerce service, Instamart, adopting a ‘house of brands/apps’ approach. It also stepped into the domain of Zepto Cafe by offering quick delivery of snacks, beverages, and meals with the launch of Snacc.
