
Special camps for registration of farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme is underway at the office of Joint Director (Agriculture) in Virudhunagar and offices of Assistant Director (Agriculture) in all blocks, India Post Payments Bank and Common Service Centres in Virudhunagar district.
The special camps will be held till May 31.
With the payment of the 20th instalment scheduled in June, all eligible farmers should register their land-related details, Aadhar-linked bank accounts and e-KYC should be corrected, Virudhunagar Collector V. P. Jeyaseelan said.
He added that among the farmers who had got the 19th instalment of assistance under the scheme, 16,493 have not registered their land details. These farmers should register these details to get the 20th instalment of benefit.
Farmers who have been left out of the scheme should register their land details in the PM-KISAN website and produce the identity number for registration under the scheme.
To stop payment of benefits to the deceased farmers, their death certificate should be registered in the website. Besides, the legal heir of the deceased farmers can apply for the benefit by registering themselves, the statement added.
