“Whether it’s on the field or in life, the pursuit of excellence never stops. I’m excited to join the Audi family and represent a brand that inspires forward motion in everything it does,” he said.
The announcement was made by JSW Sports, the sports division of the JSW Group, on Monday, 26 May. The collaboration unites two icons known for their precision, high performance, and progressive mindset.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, praised Chopra, saying he embodies the brand’s ethos of pushing boundaries and striving for excellence.
“Determined and iconic, his journey from ambition to achievement mirrors Audi’s progressive DNA. His focus, speed, and unmatched performance make him a natural extension of our brand—a symbol of what it means to lead, not follow,” Dhillon added.
Karan Yadav, Chief Commercial Officer of JSW Sports, described the partnership as one with boundless potential, aligning with Chopra’s stature as one of India’s top athletes.
“All of us at JSW Sports are delighted to facilitate this association between Neeraj and Audi India, which marks a landmark partnership for Indian sport and business.
“Audi is a car manufacturer that Neeraj genuinely admires, and its vision as a brand aligns closely with his own values as an athlete. All our conversations with Audi have been extremely positive, and given Neeraj’s standing, I truly believe the potential of this partnership is limitless,” he said.
Chopra recently secured second place at the Janusz Kusociński Memorial meet in Poland. In his sixth and final attempt, he recorded a throw of 84.14m, finishing among the top two. Earlier, he had also broken the elusive 90m mark at the Doha Diamond League, coming second behind Julian Weber’s 91.06m effort.
