The round saw continued backing from existing investors, alonside new participation from Helios Holdings, the Sharda Family Office, and the Kay Family. The investment reflects growing investor confidence in Oben Electric’s market traction, product strength, and financial performance.
Following its initial Series A fundraise, Oben scaled rapidly, launching 37 retail outlets across 26 cities in 13 states, including Punjab, Gujarat, Telangana, and Odisha—underscoring strong post-funding execution and consumer demand.
The new capital will support Oben’s next growth phase—expanding to 150+ showrooms across 50+ cities by FY26, ramping up production at its Bengaluru facility, enhancing after-sales infrastructure, and accelerating development of the new ‘O100’ platform for affordable electric motorcycles priced under Rs 1 lakh, the statement added.
“This extended round is a strong vote of confidence in our long-term vision,” said Madhumita Agrawal, Founder & CEO of Oben Electric. “We’re not only expanding our presence but also pushing innovation forward with the O100 platform, aimed at making electric mobility accessible to the masses. Our vertical integration gives us the control and agility needed to scale efficiently.”
Commenting on the investment, Sandesh from the Sharda Family Office said: “Oben has demonstrated strong product-market fit and rapid revenue growth in a largely untapped market. Their vertical integration of key EV components—battery, motor, and vehicle control units—along with a capable founding team, positions them well to build a global electric motorcycle brand from India.”
Oben’s flagship Rorr and its entry-level variant Rorr EZ have become popular choices for urban commuters. The Rorr EZ, starting at Rs 99,999, offers a 0–40 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds, top speed of 95 km/h, and up to 175 km IDC range, powered by high-performance LFP battery packs—known for their durability, safety, and weather resilience.
Looking ahead, Oben Electric plans to raise $30 million in Series B later in 2025 to support international expansion and further scale-up of its product lineup, continuing its mission of building a global electric motorcycle brand that is “Designed in India for the World.”
