
Maruti May Auto Sales
In the exchange filing published on Monday, June 2, the company reported a total sales number of 1,80,077 units, including domestic and export sales. This is 3.2% higher than the May 2024 figure of 1,74,551 units.
Sales within the Passenger Vehicle segments dropped to 1,35,962 units compared to 1,44,002 units it sold in May 2024.
While the sale of utility vehicles and vans increased, the sale of Mini + Compact Segment wagons dropped compared to the previous year.
The Light Commercial Vehicle Segment also saw a rise in its figures, with the total sales going up to 2,728 units.
Maruti Suzuki India’s net profit for the January-March quarter was lower than last year at ₹3,711 crore.
The revenue stood at ₹40,674 crore, which was up 6% on a year-on-year basis from ₹38,235 crore.
In addition to that, the New Delhi-based company’s Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) declined 9% from the year-ago period to ₹4,264.5 crore,
Shares of Maruti Suzuki India fell 1.3% on Monday after the sales announcement and are currently trading at ₹12,161. The stock is up 8% so far in 2025.
