Exterior Design Updates: The exterior design takes cues from the larger Grand Cherokee. It includes a slimmer seven-slot grille, rectangular LED Matrix headlights, and a new front bumper with more black cladding. The tail section has thinner LED lights connected by a light bar with an illuminated Jeep logo. The SUV features squared wheel arches, a black roof, and minimal use of chrome.

Increased Dimensions: The new Compass measures 4,550 mm in length, 1,928 mm in width, and has a 2,795 mm wheelbase. This makes it 150 mm longer and 85 mm wider than before, with a 160 mm increase in wheelbase. It is available in six colours: Hawaii Green, Pacific Blue, Antarctica White, Amazonia Brown, Yosemite Grey, and Volcano Black. The First Edition includes 20-inch wheels and LED Matrix headlights.

Interior Layout Changes: Inside, the Compass now has a redesigned dashboard with a 16-inch touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster. It includes physical buttons for key controls and aluminium accents across the dash, console, and steering. Ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof are optional. The longer wheelbase adds 55 mm of legroom, and boot space has increased by 45 litres to 550 litres.

Hybrid And Electric Options: Three types of powertrains are offered: a 143 BHP 48V mild-hybrid, a 192 BHP plug-in hybrid, and fully electric variants with outputs between 211 BHP and 370 BHP. The 370 BHP electric version includes a rear motor with 49 kW power and 232 Nm torque. A 14:1 reducer allows up to 3,100 Nm torque at the rear wheels for better off-road performance.

Electric Range And Charging: The all-electric Compass offers up to 650 km range on a full charge (WLTP). It can charge from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes using a 160 kW DC fast charger. A 22 kW onboard charger is included. Battery options include 73 kWh and 97 kWh packs. Lower variants offer 213 BHP; the higher-spec EV produces 233 BHP in front-wheel-drive form.

Off-Road Specifications: The standard Compass offers 200 mm ground clearance, with approach, breakover, and departure angles of 20°, 15°, and 26°, respectively. The 4xe AWD version adds 10 mm of lift and increases these angles to 27°, 16°, and 31°. Water wading depth is 470 mm. Different drive modes are available to adapt performance across various surfaces.

Technology Features Inside: All variants come with connected car technology, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Other features include a head-up display, OTA updates, a wireless phone charger, and optional premium audio. The central console has a rotary selector for drive modes. Aluminium and wooden inserts are used in the cabin. Physical climate and control switches are retained below the main screen.

Not For Indian Market: Jeep has confirmed the new Compass will not be introduced in India. The STLA Medium platform did not meet cost requirements for the market. With low monthly sales, the investment could not be justified. Instead, Jeep will continue selling the existing Compass in India and will release special editions until a refreshed version possibly arrives in 2026.

Indian Model Update: The current Compass in India uses a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170 PS and 350 Nm. It is available with a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic gearbox. There is a possibility of Jeep reintroducing petrol or mild-hybrid options to stay competitive.
