Adventure Scooter: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launched the X-ADV, its flagship maxi-scooter, priced at ₹11.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This adventure-style scooter blends rugged design with urban practicality.

Crossover Design: The X-ADV features a crossover design, combining a maxi-scooter’s look with an adventure motorcycle’s stance. It has sharp LED headlights, a tall windscreen, and angular bodywork. Spoke wheels (17-inch front, 15-inch rear) with dual-sport tyres enhance its off-road appeal. Colour options include Pearl Glare White and Graphite Black.

BigWing Availability: The bookings for the X-ADV are open at Honda’s BigWing dealerships, with deliveries starting in June 2025. The X-ADV arrives via the CBU route, targeting premium motorcycle enthusiasts in India.

Leadership Vision: Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales and Marketing at HMSI, stated that the X-ADV blends adventure capability with city-friendly dynamics. He highlighted its versatility for commutes and escapes, aiming to attract riders seeking a unique experience at BigWing dealerships.

Powerful Engine: The scooter is powered by a 745cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. It delivers 58 hp at 6,750 RPM and 69 Nm of torque at 4,750 RPM. Paired with a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), it ensures smooth gear shifts, making it suitable for both city and adventure riding.

Robust Hardware: Built on a tubular steel frame, the X-ADV features 41mm USD front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking includes dual 296mm front discs with radial callipers and a 240mm rear disc. Dual-channel ABS is standard, ensuring safety on varied terrains.

Innovative Mobility: Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director at HMSI, described the X-ADV as a fusion of innovation and design. He emphasised its ability to break boundaries between adventure and urban mobility, expecting it to draw a new segment of premium motorcycle enthusiasts in India.

Advanced Features: The X-ADV offers a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync for smartphone connectivity, including navigation and call alerts. It includes ride-by-wire, four riding modes (Standard, Sport, Rain, Gravel), and a customizable User mode. Cruise control and a USB-C port are also provided.

Practical Storage: A 22-litre underseat storage compartment includes a USB-C charger, enhancing daily usability. The seat, designed for comfort, has better padding and lower reach. This makes the X-ADV practical for urban commutes and weekend adventures, appealing to versatile riders.

Premium Positioning: Priced at ₹11.91 lakh, the X-ADV competes with the BMW C 400 GT, which costs ₹40,000 less but uses a smaller 350cc engine. The X-ADV’s unique adventure-scooter proposition has no direct rivals in India.
