
The Ernakulam Rural police arrested two more persons in connection with the seizure of 20 grams of suspected MDMA and 3 kg of suspected ganja in Aluva on Wednesday (June 11, 2025).
The arrested are Faisal, 37, of Kothamangalam, and Nidheesh, 26, of Kuruppampady. The Aluva police and the Ernakulam Rural District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force had arrested one Nabin Thankappan with the contraband from the Aluva railway station.
According to the police, Faisal accompanied Nibin to source the suspected ganja from Vishakhapattanam and suspected MDMA from Bengaluru. Nidheesh allegedly arranged funds for the purchase of suspected drugs and facilitated their sale. The police claimed to have received information about their clients.
In a separate incident in Angamaly, the police had seized 200 grams of suspected MDMA.
