Changes in train services in Salem division due to track maintenance at Podanur

To facilitate track maintenance works at Podanur railway yard, changes will be made in some train services on June 15 and 16, said a release from the Salem division of Southern Railway.

Train No.16607 Kannur – Coimbatore Express, scheduled to leave Kannur at 6 a.m., will be short terminated at Podanur Junction. Train No.16722 Madurai – Coimbatore Express, scheduled to leave Madurai Jn. at 7.05 a.m., will be short terminated at Podanur Jn.. Train No.66615 Mettupalayam – Podanur MEMU, scheduled to leave Mettupalayam at 1.05 p.m., will be short terminated at Coimbatore Jn.

The following train services will have a change of originating station:Train No.16721 Coimbatore – Madurai Express, scheduled to leave from Coimbatore Jn. at 2.30 p.m., will instead leave from Podanur Jn. at 2.45 p.m. Train No.16608 Coimbatore – Kannur Express, scheduled to leave from Coimbatore Jn. at 1.50 p.m., will instead leave from Podanur Jn. at 2.03 p.m. Train No.66616 Podanur – Mettupalayam MEMU, scheduled to leave from Podanur Jn. at 3..30 pm., will instead leave from Coimbatore Jn. at 3.45 p.m..
