“I did the wheelies, they got the girls” – Salman Khan shares HILARIOUS anecdote about his older friends at ISRL Season 2 launch; pokes fun at Veer, references Dabangg 4As soon as he came on stage, Salman removed his sunglasses. With no one to hold them, he decided to hang them at the back of his T-Shirt, a la Chulbul Pandey. Salman quipped, “Yeh Dabangg 4 ke liye tha!”
He continued with his jokes, “I have known Eeshan and Veer (for a long time). In fact, Veer was named after my film Veer (2010). His father called me up and said, ‘Aapki picture bahut acchi lagi’. I told him, ‘Sirf aap hi ko acchi lagi!’ Then his father said, ‘I want to name my son Veer’!”
Salman Khan then gave a lovely smile to Veer Patel and added, “Just kidding. By the time Veer released, yeh already bahar the aur motorcycle pe the!”
When asked if he ever attended a Supercross League, Salman revealed, “Yes. I rode a cycle all the way from Mumbai to Pune with friends of mine. One of them is still my friend; his name is Jaggi. Another friend of ours, Nikki, whose father used to run an agency, was also there. Both these boys were slightly older than I. So, I was still into bicycles and they had graduated to cars and bikes.”
He revealed, “At the Khandala ghat, he held my hand. I was riding behind. He was in a jeep. Jaggi held my hand at the whole ghat. We reached Pune and saw the International Supercross League.”
Salman again added to the fun as he spoke about these pals, “They used to make me do wheelies and stoppies. I anyway had the cycle and that’s why I used to do it. They used to gather crowds by making me indulge in stunts. This is how they got women. It was like ‘mehnat main karoon…’.”
